Thanks for your thoughts. There seems to be a schism in agile between those that think they are a total waste of time and those who do them and try to get better at it. I’m in the latter category: estimates for me they are a kind of forcing function for validating the low-level understanding of the task. But I do get why folks see them as waste (almost). I remember that estimate normalization formula as 4 times “midrange” estimate and then the whole thing divided by 6.
